We were accepted in Y Combinator ! Chaos newsletter
Hey everyone, I’m so happy to get back to you, and sorry to come back so late!
You can’t imagine what we went through the past weeks, let me do a short recap for you:
We were ACCEPTED IN Y COMBINATOR, check this out
We hired OUR FIRST EMPLOYEE
We are ALL THREE LIVING TOGETHER TO LAUNCH CHAOS IN 2021
Sorry, I’m going to be more professional in the rest of this newsletter…
Launching 2021 with Y Combinator
What an exciting time ! We’re now on the road to demo day - the final step to every YC batch, where we’ll have the opportunity to pitch in front of international investors and share what we’ve been working on so far.
Meeting extraordinary people behind companies like Airbnb, Twitch and Brex and discovering their way to success, their resilience and their willingness to build something that do good is uplifting. What stroke me the most is their humility.
You can build a billion dollar company and still be down to Earth. The first knowledge I learnt from these amazing people was that the most important thing to keep in mind with ambition, is to make something that will make the world a little better.
The countdown is on and we can’t be more enthusiastic. You can found my public post on Linkedin here !
Thank you, you are part of our adventure too 💌
Our team is expanding quickly (and hiring again)
Adrien joined us at the beginning of the batch and is living with Sydney and I to support our tech development. We’re sooo happy to have him onboard - he’s a risk taker, after only a week working together remotely he accepted to join us on our crazy journey and becoming our roommates. That’s us 😄👇
And now that we know where we’re going, we are already preparing our next superstars as hiring is one of the most difficult for each startup…
We’re looking for :
someone that likes to code different stuff (fullstack developer),
someone that likes to code backend stuff (backend developer),
someone that like growth and marketing stuff (growth manager ? B2B SaaS Inbound Generator Ninja ?).
These positions will only start mid-2021 but we prefer to openly share what we’ll soon need, so if you know someone that would be a great fit with our team, ping me directly!
The Chaos Webinar
For the first time, we hosted a Webinar about scale-ups’ tools and process. We had the honor to receive Edouard Mascré (Head of Sales, Pennylane) & Clément Bouillaud (Chief Financial & Process Officer, Partoo) for the first B2B Sales webinar.
If you missed it, it will be online soon. (ping me to be on the list)
Sydney will be hosting a new session the 11th of February with a special focus on IT Managers ; join us that’ll be fun.
Our next focus : improvements & quick user feedback
Well, everything is in the title. We’re currently onboarding our current customers on the first version of our app. That means restructuring our database and API connection for the transfer from MVP to beta.
So long Airtable ! We’ll miss you…
We’re looking for efficient way to store these customer feedbacks, so far we have :
recording each onboarding with Loom for special moment,
writing down a recap and share it with the rest of the team,
categorizing each feedback and new features mentioned in a spreadsheet (Airtable, you again!) for macro monitoring.
If you have good idea, please share them with us !
As a personal note, if you have 2mn and like reading what we’ve done so far, please tell me what would interest you in the next letters and share it with people that would like being part of our story !
